My granddaughter, Ava Rose Slane, was hit by a motorcycle in the 9200 block of Annapolis Rd. May 10, 2012. She was a first grade student at Thomas Holme Elementary School. Because of a wreckless, person who has no regard for children, or adults for that matter, my little girl may never have a normal life again. Something needs to be done about people who speed in residential areas. That street is like a speedway, with cars, and motorcycles tearing up and down like demons. Ava is lucky to be alive. Drs at CHOP saved her life, but it was touch and go for several days. She suffered severe brain damage, and a badly broken leg. All because someone carelessly sped down a residential st. Speed bumps would solve this problem, and maybe we could save another grandmother the heart ache I am going through.
