Description

The streets of Corona are just ridiculous in the morning. I come from Tenth street and my destination is Paseo Grande. Yesterday morning it took me 45 mins to get there. Same thing today, so I turned around and came back home my kids will be going in late. Via Santiago is backed up all the way from Border to Paseo Grande, there is people riding the suicide lane to the stop sign in a lane that turns left (big yellow arrow specifying that) so they can cut the lane going straight off. Every morning is a stressful drive that should only take me a few minutes and with all this crazy construction that is all being done at once has made not only my few min commute but other fellow residents commute a nightmare. Has the City of Corona tried in any way way to relieve this problem?

Even funnier is you never see any cops, why either the CHP and/or Corona Pd condone the crazy way people drive, against head on traffic, across parking lots. The City we know doesn't care else they would have prepared better. Sometimes it looks like an octopus of traffic everyone heading to the only on-ramp, lanes closed down to 1... They could at minimum have traffic staff controlling the traffic, but why we all just deal with it.

I sat in traffic for 2 hours today just trying to get on the 91west. This is absolutely ridiculous. The city should have planned their construction better. It is extremely stressful every morning!

I left at 6:50 am this morning from tenth st and my kids didnt get to school till 8:35 off paseo grande. People say leave early well kids can not be dropped off at school too early or else they will be left unattended. This traffic has made my kids late quite a few times now plus many other kids. Its horrible and i have also noticed no patrol cars in these high traffic areas where they need to be. I dread driving in the morning and after 3 pm. I just read on fb that tomorrow will be horrible due to multiple lane closures on the 91. Im suprized the unemployment rates havent soared because i dont know how many commuters make it to work on time

My kids were late to school. I was late for work and this happens very often. And I agree, I don't know how people are keeping their jobs being late. Maybe if we leave at like 4am we'd be on time.

Corona's politicians say the best answer is to get Companies to move to Corona. Problem is, the companies with high paying jobs do not want to come here. High water rates, air conditioning expenses due to the extreme heat and the labor force in Orange County is highly skilled so why move. Corona has nothing to offer companies with good paying jobs. I do not understand why they have not considered extending La Palma from Yorba Linda to either Green River or Serfas Club. It looks like it could easily be done. The train route goes that way. It would also give us an alternate route in the event we ever had to evacuate due to a natural disaster.

10 min. drive from south corona to my office on the other side of 91 and Lincoln took 1:40 minutes today. There is no reason to live in this city if our local officials and police department don't start doing something to improve this issue.

Oak Ave to 91 via Ontario Ave left at 6am took 3hrs.......I agree why live in a city that cares less about the time we spent trying to make money to pay for their taxes. Saw people parking their cars and walking kids to school 3/4 of a mile away---oh and never saw 1 cop, none
