For years I have seen nearby residents use the dumpsters at this address as if they are their own. This is not a problem belonging solely to the owner of this property, it belongs to the women of Pearl Street I saw dump bags there last week, the person who refuses to call bulk pick up when needed and instead leaves their, or their recently departed tenants, old furniture there. Yes, it does look poorly when people leave refuse outside of the dumpsters. It is also unreasonable to expect one owner to clean up after a street full of people who believe that if they dump their garbage on another doorstep, it is no longer their problem.

It is easy to blame dumping on unidentified "other persons" (women or not). But the fact remains that the garbage is on the premises of the apartment building at 516-18 Orange Street. Perhaps management should enclose the dumpsters and restrict access only to residents, or designate a garbage room inside the building that is restricted to residents.

I know there has been concern about people walking in the street on this section of Pearl Street, but who wants to walk through the trash from an overflowing dumpster? Yuck!

New owner has been contacted and advised of fines which may be levied against property if trash situation is not addressed immediately. New owner promises to stay in compliance with City ordinances.

Who is the new owner? Current tenants are still paying the old landlord.

Also, NO RECYCLING at this building. Tenants have to throw recycling in the trash dumpsters or sneak it into the city toters.
