Description
This unsecured and perpetually problematic vacant lot has been taken over by a group who has begun using it as a rehearsal space for steel-pans. It is not known if the property owners have given permission to the group to use the lot. As of this morning the lot now has one truck, two cars, tents, porta-johns, iron structures.
A noise compliant was filed last night about the music and noise: Service Request #: C1-1-1145963181
Date Submitted: 08/27/15 9:34:10 PM
The surrounding neighbors would like to know if all permits and permissions are in place. The porta-johns and their maintainnance as well as the late night noise are of deep concern.

As of today the property still has porta-johns, tents and seating along with other items being stored including a car. There is already one homeless person sleeping on the property using the seating to sleep on etc.
What exactly was meant by the manager regarding property "clean-up". "Clean-up" to us, the surrounding neighbors, means all items removed from the property. We would like all of the above items removed and the land secured with a fence ASAP.
Furthermore if the land owners are absentee and seem to have no opinion on who absconds with the space then those of us who have been looking at this waste of land for 8 years are going to do something productive with it, like create a community garden. We are tired of the filth, the dumping and disrespectful nature of how the property kept!
