The City of Oakland Public Works Department has received this issue. It is registered as service request #600657. Please check back for status updates, or contact us directly at 510-615-5566.
Nobody wants to walk on that side of the street especially at night, the other concern I have is that they know what time we leave our homes and what time we return to them.
That's exactly why they should not be allowed to set up near any residential area where they see what's going on. It's not safe, but until Oakland wakes up out of a deep sleep, everyone has to watch out for each other to see that nothing happens.
We have no leadership, I'm convinced of that. It kind of makes u wonder why West Oakland is becoming a dumping ground. This is exactly why we do very little business in Oakland. Did u really count 32 RV's? I don't doubt it.
Thank you for contacting the Department of Public Works regarding this matter. However, for enforcement related issues please contact the Oakland Police Department Non-Emergency line at (510)777-3333.

I called it in. FYI to neighbors, if they move you need to call non-emergency right away. If they feel they will get their 3 days in a place, they will not leave for good.
To be clear, I understand they may have few options, but long term street camping can't be one of them.
