Description
Started at my new employer adjacent to East Main Street. Exiting my building and walking across East Main Street to the parking area is a challenge when one has to place there footwear into large holes in the street twisting ones ankle. I am told by many the street as well as the surrounding buildings on East Main and going north are only going from worse to complete decay. Is the Ansonia town hall back yard even aware of this issue ?
It is so easy to spot as a new-comer to the area. I am ashamed to show my family where I now work and commute to. Thought you should know as any decaying infrastructure unattended or not improved in so way will eventually bring on forms of liability for a city.

I start a new Job next week in a town I have not seen in a while (Shelton, CT).
This subject area seems to be to restrictive and depressing for a work or business environment for me to report to every morning.
From what I saw so far from Shelton's economic climate it is like night and day compared to Ansonia's downtown. Ansonia needs a total rehab from where I enter in the morning north of the Firehouse all the way to a place called $5 dollar pizza...(go figure). That is one business with profiling potential. Grabbing lunch on Main Street, why is there a Church on Ansonia’s Main Street? That is a first for me.
Whose watch is all this depressing atmosphere being monitored by when inquiring of a First Selectman in Ansonia? Not the Public Works Director… is it really?
Thanks for the visit & good luck.
