What is the current status on the request for 2 trash receptacles for 335?

I support the request. I'm a resident of 335 W Ponce and regularly pickup trash from in front of 335 W Ponce then carry it a block east or west, or across the street, to find a trash can. Please add a city trash can or two in front of the building as there are none.

I also live at 335 West and can attest that there is a real need for this simple fix.
When I walk the streets of Decatur (which is often) I regularly pick up trash and
deposit it in a trash receptacle; it is ironic that one of the hardest places in which
to help keep Decatur clean is my very own home. I am puzzled by and unhappy
about the length of time it is taking to address this request.

This block has no trash can/waste receptacle and frequent littering from customers of the 2 restaurants and others. I see many people try to help out by picking up those run away napkins and sandwich wraps but then look around and there is no place to put it. Please help us Keep Decatur Beautiful!

What is the current status on this request for trash receptacles at 335 W Ponce? Can we expect some answer this month? We anxiously await your response.

Sorry but I think that Mr Shoemake missed this issue. I will take a look at the location today and give you an update.

How do I find reports on Ponce de Leon RR crossing and
Artwood Rd pedestrian hazards, auto parts, ped hazards . Request for redesign of intersection due to frequent wrecks and telephone pole, pedestrian signs , Fernbank science museum signs wrecked by cars and neglected weed/wild tree maintenance. visibility & eye danger to peds & cyclists on sidewalk under RR bridge.

Mr Curry,
We are about 2 weeks away from delivery. We are installing the double waster receptacle with litter and recycling. The are the receptacles with the city logo on it. We received the bins last month but the logo was wrong and we could not put those out. The new ones are almost finished and the logo is correct. As soon as they arrive, we will surely place then out.

What's the story on the trash cans? The new apartments on Commerce have the Decatur trash/recycle bins every 50 feet or so. This is just crazy!

I have spoken with Mr. Knotts and he will be getting back to me shortly on when the trash/recycle receptables will be installed in front of 335...Will send out an announcement when they are actually installed.

Thank you for continuing your efforts to get this done. We'll all be grateful when the bins are in place!

Thanks for your patience. We still waiting on our shipment but we are able to place one set of bins there now and it should be in place tomorrow.
