Description

Way too many cars driving east on Highland Ave are turning down Providence Ave and then left onto Pitt St in order to avoid waiting at the stoplight at Highland & Cottage. This is made easier for fast drivers because there are no stopsigns at the cross-streets on Pitt (and South Richland, Walnut, etc). Lots of children live in this neighborhood, and there are many pedestrians. There are no sidewalks. I am sick of cars whipping around the corner and accelerating (loudly) up Pitt St, well over the (posted) 25 speed limit! Install stop signs and/or speed bumps, or have a cop sit on that street on a Saturday afternoon!!
