I will check on this --- from the photo, it looks like the weeds need to be cut. We are in a drought so a lot of homeowners are not watering their yards and this is acceptable by the City. Thanks for reporting.
Is the address actually 2912? I believe the address that is listed is where you took the photo. Not sure about an eyesore ---please explain. As far as I can tell, they need to trim their weeds................ Feel free to call me at 943-5863. Thanks.
Yes, that is the correct address. And yes, this is an eyesore. The weeds have never been mowed and the yard has not been touched since the owner moved in. I know a few people who live on that street and they have complained to the owner before but he refuses to touch his lawn. I do understand that we are having a drought and a brown, dried lawn is fine but 2 foot high weeds all over the place are not. I walk by this house several times a week and it's sad to see. I have been told that the owner is a city employee but that should not make a difference. The lawn needs to be mowed! One of the major contributor to the Oakland Hills fire years ago was the fact that owners did not remove weeds and clean up their yards. This yard is not only ugly but dangerous to the surrounding homes.
Overall -- the only issue is the weeds. Whether or not a City employee lives there has no bearing. I believe that owner has since moved. A notice has been sent to the owner to mow the yard. Closed in SeeClick - code enforcement case opened. Feel free to call me if you have further information. Thanks for reporting. Nancy - 943-5863
