I’m a resident in the Sunrise and Moonlight Court development in S.S.F. This 45 dwelling development, is located in a Residential Planned Unit Development. In 2008 the owners who choose to take part in a law suit against the developer for using inferior Siding, were awarded a settlement to do Siding replacement. Those who didn’t participate ended up having to come out of pocket. Therefore, several homes in the development have not done anything to resolve this issue. The original Siding was made of a material that absorbed moisture, which led to extensive dry rot and mold growth in and out of the residence. Therefore, as can be seen from the attached photos, this situation is not only a health issue but a decline in the appearance and desirability of the neighborhood. Hopefully this is a concern to the City of South San Francisco. For your information, our Homeowners Association, The Manor Association, hasn’t done anything to address this situation or any other issues regarding the CCR’s. Thank you.
