This looks like the same problem that I reported a year ago. They tried timing the stop light so the westbound Womack had some extra time to turn, but did not keep that. They also said adding a turn lane was a long term fix to examine sometime in the future. I suggested that when school started again this problem would reoccur, and it sounds like that is the case.

This issue was sent in around a month ago also. Something needs to be done. When Perimeter college changes classes it is a night mare at this light with the people turning left. I asked for the light to be adjusted and got an answer - to efficiently move traffic on Chamblee Dunwoody the light could not be adjusted. In other words people who live in Dunwoody will have to suffer while waiting on people turning and people on Chamblee Dunwoody cutting through to 400. Does this make sense???????

One short-term fix is to not allow left
Turns onto C-D, either all day or certain times of the day.
This would force everyone to go straight to Ashford Dunw., go south to Vally View, then take that to C-D.
Or, they good just go one block past C-D and do a U-turn back to C-D.

Any updates on this Old problem since last year? This was originally reported several years ago....

There are no short term solutions for this issue. The city's Comprehensive Transportation Plan will be updated this year and will include public input. An improvement project at this intersection can be added during that update if there is support from the public and city council.
