The sidewalks are blocked

Thank you for bringing this concern to the City of Richmond, Department of Planning and Development Review, however, when the Property Maintenance Code Enforcement Inspector visited the property, it was determined that there are no active code violations found on this property at this time. The Inspector will continue to monitor the situation in the future.

I'm not sure what the inspector was looking at, but there is no way that this is not a code violation. If this were private property, the owner would be fined (I hope).

I don't think the city understands. This is public property on Grayland Avenue. Houses were torn down on this side of the street 40+ years ago when the Downtown Expressway was built. This is the city's responsibility to maintain that side of Grayland Avenue. I am reporting this immediately to the mayor and city council.

There is a fire hydrant that is completely engulfed by this mess. The city needs to get on the ball with this!!!

Has anyone from the city actually visited the 3400 block of Grayland Avenue and decided that the overgrowth is okay?

What's going on with this? They came and mowed the grass and started to clear the sidewalk but stopped weeks ago and the sidewalk is still covered in dirt.

Seeing as it is the middle of winter and this was posted MONTHS ago, it's a good thing you were able to determine that there were "no active code violations found on this property at this time." It's city owned property, 2 blocks south of Carytown, the city should really do better about staying on top of stuff like this!!!
