Driver in a black Jeep Cherokee, NC license plate hit our local homeless man on his bike. NC Plate ADT 6278. Driving wrong way up Mayo Avenue . Clipped bike rider, then pulled into the lot at division of prisons to turn around. I stepped in front of his jeep to stop him. I said you are going wrong way and you just hit someone! He said I realize that now, there was no sign and he came out of nowhere. As soon as I pulled out my phone to take a picture he sped off and turned east on West Morgan at a high rate of speed. The jeep had a Wolfpack mascot sticker on back window. Driver was 20s to early 30s white male with a trimmed dark brown beard. ADT6278 was plate number. Regular homeless guy on his bike said he was okay, he was very frazzled. No point in calling 911 they don't respond anymore.
