You must bring this to the attention of your district rep they have the ear of the city zoning board I have called many times and got no return call back

Non stop legitimate complaints in regards to this above the law out of control establishment.
-Police look busy with dead end commando task force raids on __well absolutely nothing , just racking up OT.

I know it's hard to park on Eld St, There is a sign in front of Rooselvelts saying cars parking there will be towed. It is the responsibility of the car owner to park their car not the business. I'm not sure if anyone could use the lot on State St. It looked like you need a permit for there. In a lot of cases people coming into New Haven have nowhere to park, and unfortunatly some park illegally. I don't think a lot of businesses would have a chance of staying in business if they had to rely on just the local neighborbood. New Haven should have more areas for people to park., and not always paid parking. Here's a example, I need to purchase a item. So I go Downtown. Go into a store. Come out 2 minutes later. I have a ticket. You think I'm going to come back . I'll go elsewhere. I been a resident all my life in New Haven, Parking has always been a problem. I don't have a parking problem elsewhere. As far as the other complaints I'm hearing about this establishment.
I don't know what kind of agreement they made with the city as opening hours. i don't know what race is putting in complaints, but to me it looks like someone person or person is watching this business, trying to file any complaint they can. To me I think its racial.

The race that is putting up the complaints are the ones that want some peace and quiet, It is a shame that there are some people that try and make everything a race issue.

3) THE PREMISS PERMIT DO NOT ALOW FOR LIVE MUSIC DANCING SINGING.
4)THE LEASE REQUIRES A RESTATUNT TO PROVIDE MEALS .
5)YOU DO NOT HAVE A NIGHTCLUB LICENCE.

The parking like I said is not the owners responsibity. He can only put up a sign.,like he has done, and hope the patrons listen. Have the cars towed. Call the police. I still believe a few people are going out of their way to try and find any violation they can. Nit picking, and still believe it is racial. Such as with the garbage bins. they try to haul some trash away, because it wasn't picked up by their service.and you put in two complaints, one for the garbage, and one for the hauling. I not the owner, never been there yet, and I'm not Black.. I don't think anyone knows every rule and regulation there is and I'm sure you and everybody else may have done something in your life that's against regulation

I have an idea how about u rent Rossevelts a space on your street with no restrictions just like he does now no rules.

The business has a responsibility to follow zoning ordinance that they agreed to operate under. All businesses are held to that standard. As far as parking complaints, they put a sign up but the owners themselves are the first to ignore it.

Especially weekends I have students walking by drunk 3 or 4 in the morning. yelling out screaming etc. Nobody has complained. What would the police do. I rather have the noise at 12 rather than the time I'm getting it.

If you have so many problems with them why don't you give them a call at (203) 497-0000. If you don't get any satisfaction, then you go above their heads. I agree with you on the parking, but the city should supply some kind of lot for people bringing business in the city. Like I said before I don't know if the lot on State St is a public lot or not. There are many businesses up and down State St., but a great lack of parking. New Haven seems to be the only place without adequate parking.
Before I retired I was in business for myself. I would not locate my business in New Haven. Because of lack of parking, Higher taxes, Higher rents etc. Unfortunately I live in this city and pay $15,000 a year property taxes.per year. If the house wasn't family owned I would have been out a long time ago.
However your space is your space. Nobody else should use it. I would call them, if no satisfaction I would just have them towed. They don't have to know who called.

I've been reading the complaints about Roosevelts on here for a while now. I was driving by it with my windows down the other night at about 10:30pm and I have to admit I immediately felt sympathy for the residents nearby. There were no patrons outside, yet there was music blaring from outdoor speakers, how frustrating and annoying. Even if there were patrons outdoors, there is a noise ordinance in this part of the city for 10pm. My advice, I've found that if you contact the news outlets directly and supply them with video proof from your phone of what's going on and at what hour their interest is perked and the help they provide through coverage far surpasses anything you can get by complaining to the police (who don't seem to care) and by contacting the business (which obviously doesn't care). As far as parking, not much to be done as the ticket crew seems to focus on downtown and at night they are nowhere to be found. Good luck neighbor.

I didn't know they had speakers outside. That's a different story.

So the differerence is the ops! Speakers out side ..... DOSENT MAKE A DIFFERENCE SINCE THE FIRE DOORS ARE OPEN IN THE FRONT AND REAR OF THE BUILDING SPILLING LOUD MUSIC INTO THE NEIGHBORHOOD all hours of the night. Any one know some one at Chanel 8 new to get the story out?

I don't know what can be done about this problem. I found out person playing music is a retired New Haven Police Officier.

Just because he was a police office and now retired he can break the law too ? Interesting. ! Why have laws,rules, regulations when you can retire as a police officer and do as you please We the people have paid his salary and RETIREMENT thru our property taxes and have no right to peacefully enjoyment of our neighborhood. The zoning law is clear as is the state's requirement for live music dancing nigh clubs this place has none of those licenses in place. Zoning never giving the property owners their say as they DID NOT SEND NOTICES OUT AS REQUIRED BY CITY TO ALL PROPERTY OWNERS WITH IN A CERTIN AREA I DID'NT GET MINE DID YOU?
