Just a note, this problem has been in existence for many years, but I do recall a catch basin getting installed maybe about 10 years ago, but then they had paved the intersection and possibly covered it over. If my memory is accurate, the catch basin is on the corner of 100 Palm Drive, southwest corner, just above the drainage ditch. Good luck.
Thank you for taking the time to “Report an Issue” via Doing Things for you! Over the years Pinellas County has received multiple reports concerning the roadway and poor drainage issues surrounding the Indian Rocks Road / Palm Drive area in Largo. The McKay Creek Watershed Management Plan also identified need for drainage improvements at this location. The good news is that the Public Works Department is aware of the need for drainage improvements in this area has included them in the design for the Indian Rocks Road Sidewalk & ADA Improvements project (Project ID 002238A). The project includes drainage improvements up to Bel Forest Drive and it specifically addresses the drainage issue at Palm Drive among other things. Design for this project recently started. Assuming timely and successful permitting construction is scheduled to start as early as the summer of 2018.
