I do not find this to be a dangerous situation and I drive Woodward Ave. most days during all seasons. Let the kids play and let the parents support them. If you want to talk about parking violations that hinders the flow of traffic take a trip down Fort Hale Rd. from Townsend Ave to Burr St. Here there is, most to the time, cars parked in "No Parking" zones. Many right next to "No Parking" signs. Fort Hale certainly is less narrow than Woodward Ave., and nobody bothers to enforce the "No Parking" on Fort Hale Rd.

This is a dangerous situation, especially with the narrow lanes, the rotary, reduced visibility for crosswalks and pedestrians (including a lot of children).

Actually, since Sept. of 2014 - when these google pics were taken, the no parking signs between the two traffic circles on Woodward Ave have been removed. I don't know if this is the case by the ball fields though so this would need to be checked.

As already mentioned, the No Parking Anytime signs have been removed which allows parking adjacent to the park. Based on the original post and the comment on 6/29 it sounds like what is occurring is not in violation of city ordinance.

Unfortunately, there is not enough parking available in any of the lots adjacent to the fields. When there are games at all of the East Shore and Annex fields, the lots are full with nowhere but the street left for parking-. In addition, there actually aren't enough bleacher seats for all people to sit. And some of those bleachers are broken and/or unsafe. There is nothing wrong with people sitting on the hill, if they choose to sit in the shade and have a better view of the game. However, the real issue is the lack of parking and the fact that drivers speed on Woodward regardless of the crowding.
