Description

There are absolutely NO blue mail boxes on Whalley Avenue!!! You have to go downtown to mail a letter which is absurd! There used to be one in front of the police station hub but they got rid of it! Put more in!

I went round 'n' round on this issue last fall when the Whalley sidewalk project removed it but did replace it. The Post Office official on Brewery Street explained that it had done very little business historically and would not be replaced. Good luck changing their mindset. I live on Edgewood Mall so for me the nearest boxes are on Derby in front of the Berger Apartments and at Sherman & Chapel.

Post Office is cutting back and not helping themselves by removing services.
