Description
There is a 15' stone wall on the Thomas Mifflin School property that is close to where hundreds of commuters walk daily to catch the train. Tree roots have lodged the large stones loose and the wall is bulging. It could fall and kill people walking on the sidewalk. This is the responsibility of the School District of Philadelphia. It is in the City's District 4.

This should go to our Councilman, Curtis Jones, Jr. who is good at tackling stuff like this.

I posted it on Thursday morning and Thursday evening Michelle Wilson from Councilman Jones' office was there taking her own photos. The Councilman and Ms. Wilson are to be commended for such a timely response. Now let's see if they can get the School District of Philadelphia to remedy this problem before it creates serious harm to passers-by.

I was glad to see a fence around that corner. It looks like it might hold back stones from the top of the wall but it forces people into the street. Maybe there should be "No Parking" for the length of the fence to give people a safe place to walk in the street.

@Guest: "No" what?

Whoohoo, the fence has been moved back to free up the sidewalk! I walked by a few days ago and the crack is getting bigger.
