Our vehicle was booted in the Walmart shopping center. Does the City of Newnan have an ordinance allowing booting? Georgia law requires a local ordinance allowing booting and for the towing/booting company to be permitted locally and at the state level. We were booted by Maximum booting as was another truck. However there was a car parked in the same area that was not booted. The Police Officer called to the seen verified that they are targeting trucks, which of course is secondary if there is not an ordinance allowing booting. We have previously been illegally booted by this same company in College Park, GA. They were required to reimburse us and they were fined by College Park.
