You are exactly right. The streets do not drain for 24-36 hours and if the water gets any deeper, we'll all need to put pontoons under our houses. The asphalt is also shot. Our neighborhood drainage and roads have been terribly neglected by the county.

Are they kidding? Nothing has been done to ease the flooding on Citrus Dr. We are always told Oct, Oct, but then Oct comes and we are again lied to. Still floods during rain storms. The street needs at least one more drainage sewer and the crumbling road needs repaving.....Please keep this open until this is resolved if I live that long.

Here is a status of the project.

• The Project # is 001177A
• The Preliminary Engineering Report was completed in the fall of 2015, and identified several roads that needed surface improvements and drainage improvements.
• All roads within Lakeshore estates are in need of resurfacing, however, we only focused on those requiring drainage improvements
• We identified 5 roads that had significant drainage and road repair issues, they are all or portions of Citrus Drive, Cypress Drive, North Canal, South Canal and Freshwater Drive.
• We have an agreement with HDR Engineering (consultant) to provide the final design and permitting for these 5 roads (or sections of roads). Both North and South Canal were identified as needing drainage and road repairs for entire road segments.
• The consultant has completed survey and road condition assessment, including geotechnical borings of underlying soils, which is important to designing the road repairs.
• We are at the 30% design stage. Issues associated with poor soils under most of the roads are causing us to explore alternatives to resurfacing
• We expect to be done with the design and permitting for all 5 roads by early 2017 (February)
• The plan at this time is to go forward with construction for all 5 roads (funding being the issue). As this may exceed internal thresholds, the job will most likely go out for bid.
• Construction bid package is currently estimated to go forward in spring 2017 with construction in summer of 2017.

This is as close we can project construction, at this time.

I am sorry bit I do not consider this issue CLOSED until they actually do the repair and work on our streets. Another 9 months to go and anything can happen to the funds allotted for the repair
