Overgrown trees/shrubs blocking an entire half of the Bay Trail southbound in Berkeley south of Gilman Street. In fact, the entire Berkeley portion of the Bay Trail has significant maintenance issues, both with vegetation, sand, and soil encroaching on the pathway, with the condition of the pavement, as well as with sight lines at intersections such as University Ave.

Meanwhile, the trees along Frontage Road are neatly trimmed and not interfering with car traffic. This is a huge double standard, and one that the City of Berkeley and the Bay Trail needs to put some serious time and investment into.
