Case Closed. Case Completed. resolved: 6/23/15 unable to post sightglass coffee rollup door not visible, hours of operation Mon thru Sun..7:00 am to 7:00 pm. cm.
Just because an SF inspector cannot see the graffiti during the city work day, does not mean that it is not there. It is there. It is a violation of city ordinance. Without abatement, it draws other graffiti vandals to the neighborhood. Please re-inspect this roll-up door either during evening hours when the door is down or require the proprietor to roll the door halfway down during business hours. Then please, issue the graffiti notice.
Here is the complaint that I sent to Mohammed Nuru, Ed Lee, Jane Kim & the Chronicle:
Dear Mohammed,
I'm writing in frustration. Attached you'll find a See Click Fix case where I reported the Graffiti on SightGlass Coffee's roll-up door. As documented in the case, on two occasions city officials have refused to act. It should be a routine matter to issue a 30-day Graffiti Removal Notice. Based on the notes from 311, city inspectors cannot be troubled to either inspect after business hours or ask the proprietor to lower his roll-up door for an inspection.
As I noted in the case, unabated graffiti leads to more graffiti. Last night, I came home to find new graffiti at my home.
Please reply to confirm that you have received my complaint, understand it and will take action.
