For real - WTH - it's been going on ALL DAY! Is there a tiny wee-wee convention I didn't know about? Please post an update if you have one...I'm ready to start making some citizen's arrests!

There is a convention this weekend at the hotels on Fayetteville St. Hundreds of bikes and loud music.

We do have two or three motorcycle events downtown every year. Most of the time these are handled very well by the organizers and do not result in noise problems. I did hear this weekend's participants over-doing it a bit even from my neighborhood 2 miles from downtown, so I will make sure to pass this on to the Downtown Events Committee and the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, who help manage these events. If at any time you believe a noise ordinance violation has occurred, please call 911 or the District Police Station near you.
