I just found this Town of Vernon document indicating that Cherry Street is private: http://www.vernon-ct.gov/pdfs/Vernon_Street_Map.pdf

I assume this means the street sign is under control of the residents of the street or a landlord and I'd appreciate any advice on how to proceed to fix this sign. Does whatever entity controlling Cherry Street have the option to purchase the same signage that the Town uses or can and should they just purchase a generic sign?
