Why would this ticket be closed, yes I have seen that barrel for over a month. This is not a repair.
We understand that this is a "cave." The problem is the "cave" is smack in the middle of one lane and causes drivers to have to drive on the wrong side of the street. How long will residents need to look at this bright orange barrel in the middle of the street as well as drive on the wrong side of the road?
Is this supposed to be a permanent fix? I've never seen barrels in other neighborhoods left in the middle of the street for months on end. It's not safe, it impedes traffic and its certainly doesn't add to the scenery.
Yes Mr. Harris we would all agree that this is a cave. Regardless of what department is responsible for it I would assume it is not up to the good citizens of Church Hill to fix. I apologize if this is not the correct avenue to report caves, or if this has been assigned to your department and it should be assigned to the cave repair department. But it would seem reasonable for you to forward this to whom ever should fix it. Not close the ticket for the second time as if it were fixed. Also it would appear that someone has now struck the barrel as it is in bad shape. The city will enjoy having to pay for busted wheels. This is not a inconvenient pothole. This is a safety matter.
