Description
On Broadway blvd next to highway 24 and right in front of the entrance to Lake Temescal, there is a very deep pothole that popped my tire and caused major damage to my car. When taking the picture, I saw two other cars with popped tires from the same pothole! It is so deep that it goes beyond the pavement to the soil substrate below. It is a major road hazard that is unavoidable unless one swerves into the oncoming lane. It needs to be fixed asap!

Acknowledged City of Oakland Public Works
The City of Oakland Public Works Agency has received this issue. It is registered as service request # 403216. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.
At your convenience, please review the following information regarding the City of Oakland Street/Sidewalk Maintenance Program:

This was previously reported and because it was previously reported the city of Oakland is liable for the damage to your car. I know it was previously reported because I reported it couple of weeks ago and they closed it as a duplicate.
