Buttercup,
I am sorry but according to Ordinance - Chapter 35, Section 103 interior furniture on a front porch is a violation. No was has taken care of issue, and since you keep closing the request the violation has been changed? No will call me back or let me know.

I have been working with Charles Locke, Superintendent over Code Enforcement, for a clarification concerning the furniture on the front porch of this property. Code Enforcement is working the tall grass and other junk and debris concerns on the property and both of those issues have been turned over to City contractor’s to address.
The information he sent me concerning the furniture is:
Chapter 35 Section 101 - Definitions
4) “Trash means any refuse, litter, ashes, debris, paper, combustible materials, rubbish, offal or waste, or matter of any kind or form which is uncared for, discarded, or abandoned. “
A couch on a covered porch would have to be uncared for, discarded or abandoned for Code Enforcement to address.
Furniture that is in usable condition and used would not meet the definition set forth in Chapter 35 Sec 101.
If the property is located in one of the Special Zoning Districts then Code Enforcement would have to determine if furniture placed on a covered porch was against that special zoning guidelines. Example, in a Historic preservation district, under Chapter 59 Section 7250 D
3) Outside storage of materials or supplies on a permanent basis is prohibited. This particular address is not located in a Special Zoning District.
I have also sent you a more in-depth email. Thank you for notifying us regarding this property. I'm sorry it took this long to provide you with a clarification.
