Description

These tracks under the Pacific Coast Highway overpass at Washington Street lead off the main rail spur into Marine Corps Recruit Depot. They cut across the PCH exit ramps north and southbound, and across the foot of Washington Street. They are angled across the streets at an angle to direction of traffic flow are filled in with dirt and asphalt in some places, but are very dangerous to motorcyclists and cyclists in particular. This picture makes it clear that cyclists in particular have to swing out into traffic to steer around deep potholes. THERE IS NO REASON FOR THIS SPUR TO EVEN BE HERE ANYMORE. PLEASE DIG UP AND REMOVE THIS SPUR ENTIRELY AND REPAVE.
