Why? Does it really matter that the back of the garage has different color? Good grief people. By the way, I'm not the home owner, don't know them, but who cares if the back of someone's garage is white instead of yellow.

Ok, since you also have no clue that corner houses are seen from behind on the one side street from all who live on the that side street! We see it daily. It's not painted evenly in one color!!
We live in a very well kept neighborhood! Not in a low class area!
We and our company drive past this daily!
It devalues our property!

I live in a well kept area too. But even in our well kept neighborhood we have more pressing issues to worry about such as speeding drivers, foreclosed homes, break ins, etc.

My questions are: was the house recently repainted? Perhaps the person ran out of time before the season changed or paint?Are the home owners sick, elderly? Is the rest of the yard kept up? I'd have to agree if the paint is chipped or weathered, I could see it being an eye sore. Next time I'm up that way I'll take a drive by and if it is indeed an eye sore, I'll stand corrected.

It has been a couple years - this is a real problem and not just seeing it when driving by as an eyesore that it is.. I was told by a realtor that had an open house on Cumberland Ct. that this is a house she had people coming up to her at a open house - saying who would want to see that view every day.?
That house did not sell and now is foreclosed.
Devalues the neighborhood!.

This eyesore garage caused a house for sale on that street not get a seller and is now foreclosed. The realtor said so. She said at her open houses people commented - who would like to see that every day? - or who would like to live by that?

I would like to make a comment, suggestion please. Why not offer to paint the persons garage and help make it look nicer for them. You do not know what your neighbor may be going through unless you ask or find out. I would be willing to help too, God bless.

I am not young enough or healthy enough to do so - In fact I only know of two 40 plus year olds on our court. We once saw this garage painted last year like a circus tent in yellow, with lime green stripes and pink stripes. The house is yellow with maroon shutters.
They painted the one side thankfully yellow but the back was never completed.
As I said a realtor said people often commented on this house and iit never sold - it was foreclosed on.

Perhaps the reason the house was foreclosed upon was that the owners were too far under water on their mortgage and tried to sell the house for more than it was worth. In regards to the varied colors, I remember a situation like this in Painesville where a building owner painted their building oddly to stick it to those who were messing with them (there was no code against the color of the house). Perhaps this is the case here as the owner could be fed up with nosey neighbors trying to impose their will on the neighborhood.

No, they were trying to sell for a long time! Bad reviews as I said about this neighbors garage.
