Description
I'm seeing all these tacky looking yellow Real Estate boxes all over town chained to light poles on city right-of-way. Is there any way to get rid of them? Do they have a permit or right to be there? Thank you. Southwest corner of Lomas and Monte Vista.

Zoning and Code Enforcement has updated that they did not see any of the yellow Real Estate boxes at this intersection when they inspected. They indicated they will monitor this area for illegal signage. Thank you for reporting this issue.

It is chained to a light pole on the sw corner of Lomas and Monte Vista, next to Jubilation. It is bright yellow. It looks like a small house. There is also one at Lomas and San Mateo and at Menaul and San Mateo. If you want a photo, I will post it. I just want to know if they have a permit or get rid of the eyesores. Thank you.

The issue has not been addressed. I am attaching a photo of the eyesore that Zoning enforcement says it cannot find. Thank you.

These ugly yellow boxes are appearing all over town, chained to public fixtures, a light pole in this case. Are they legal? Thank you.

It's been three months and more of these are appearing around town. Has anyone in zoning looked into it? Are they permitted to be on city right-of-way?

Thank you for your feedback. Zoning and Code Enforcement stated there was no yellow box at the intersection provided with the additional information. Any future signs will be removed at this location. Please provide specific locations for any other yellow boxed and Zoning and Code Enforcement will be happy to address them.

I provided a photo. The yellow box is still there. What is so difficult about going out and locating it? For anyone who pays attention, they are at many intersections, chained to poles, meter boxes, traffic signal boxes. Why can nothing be done to address this blight to the landscape? Thank you.

Per Zoning and Code Enforcement, Real estate signs are allowed on properties/this is a permissive use to all properties/case closed.
Thank you.

These boxes appear to be on city right-of-way, in the sidewalk. Some are chained to light poles, some are chained to traffic signal boxes, some are chained to electric or telephone pedestals, all are in the sidewalks. If you are going to tell me that they are permissible by code, please tell me the code/ordinance number. Thank you.

Your request has been sent to Zoning and Code Enforcement for the ordinance number. Thank you for your comments.

You might as well close the issue. They are all over the city, chained to light poles, traffic signal boxes, elect. transformers. Apparently the city does not care about the image these give the city. Thank you anyway.
