Description
15-17 Townley Street has passed owners many times and has now sat vacant for 3 years. I think this building would be a great project for NINA and would brighten our neighborhood up if it was rehabbed. It is dangerous as children go in the yard as a shortcut to school. This was recently featured on the news. I hope this coverage gets the attention to have this issue resolved.

This building REALLY needs to be rehabed for something useful or torn down to have something ugly less visible.

This building is nothing but trouble! It is bringing down the neighborhood. The property maintenance is never kept up.There is always Litter, vandalism and loitering!
Jeff
Here see the building for yourself.
It was very windy the other day and the siding around the roof .
Was flying all over (hope no one gets one in the head etc?)
Theres also a TV Antenna hanging over the edge, might fall and hurt someone.
Left facing side roof.

It's been sitting far too long. The city should take it over by eminent domain.

Something needs to be done soon, Kids spray painting on the front,
Sitting on the rail kicking out the supports.
Before they boarded up the windows.
The neighborhood kids would come and throw rocks until they and broke the glass.
I yelled a few times but they could not hear me.
It is lowering the value of our properties and the taxes keep going up.

Why is this closed? There is garbage all over. People have dumped furniture in front of the building. It is all over grown. HUGE embarrassment to those of us that live and pay taxes in this neighborhood.

If this were in West Hartford, Avon or Simsbury this building would be GONE.
Acknowledged Hartford's 311
Case # 1659 this issue has been reported to the Health department for review. I apologize for the inconvenience.

New owners have started to improve the property.
LeAnn Rees (Guest)
Someone has purchased the property, but zero work has been done. There is garbage on the property and neighborhood kids play on the property, which is not safe. I hope the new owner comes around eventually.
Insp. Rogalla/LSNI
I will attempt to contact owners and pass the concerns along.

Thank you, I appreciate that.
