Didn't they just put a huge pedestrian walkway in this area? Why spend extra money for another one?

i dont have to mention one gal was killed by a young texting driver who was speeding in the center lane in foggy conditions- several other people have been hit or killed attempting to cross telegraph WITH THE LIGHT at voorheis.. drivers are going 50- 60mph in a 35- 40 mph zone ..

the huge pedestrian walkway is a covered footbridge for the old railway trail that spans home depot pontiac and sylvan lake. it cost over a million bux-- it is at least 1/3 of a mile to the south

ok - another pedestrian has met their fate about 6 weeks ago - this makes the 3rd person in less than 4 years..
