Nope, it really needs a red light. There is too much traffic on Platt Springs Rd for a traffic circle.

There is an accident there at least once a week. I have two teenage drivers and live off of Mclee and everytime they leave the house I have to say a prayer.. This intersection has needed attention for years. It does need a light. ASAP

NO! A Traffic Light! I hate the "traffic circles" the county has built recently..... Platt Springs is too high traffic for just a circle!

NO!!!!! It needs a red light not a traffic circle. Too much traffic on Platt Springs Rd. I live in Lexington Hills. The worst thing that ever happened was putting those 2 traffic circles on Lexington Hills Parkway. They are a detriment. It might have been ok if they were put in to begin with but the road is too narrow for traffic circles and to paint them that awful brown, who's bright idea was that?. You can't see them at night. Paint them a nice glow in the dark or a bright yellow. I have in just the past few weeks seen at least 2 cars plow right threw the one at riglaw. This was a totally stupid idea. The one on Nazareth seems to be working well but that intersections is large enough to handle it and there isn't enough traffic on Nazareth to cause an issue.

I wish more people new about this sight, because i have to believe that everyone that travels this road would agree a light has been needed here for years. I drive a school bus and we have to deal with this intersection morning and afternoon, it is horrible, who can we get to look into this?

My daughter who is a student at WKHS total her truck there on 2-13-2012. Thank god she was not hurt bad but there is going to be a light installed with turning lanes. South Carolina department of transportation in Lexington would be a great start and possibly city of lex. Being smack dab in the middle two schools causes too much traffic along with speeders nd that dangerous curve. I wish the neighborhood HOA would take charge of getting agreement, which wouldn't be hard, and signing something to be sent urgent to scdt. Too many kids travel here. When i have kids I will be worried sick one day..

We the residents of the White Knoll area Platt Spring Road, Kyzer Road, McLee Road and Cannon Trail need lights installed and the speed limit dropped to 35mph from the White Knoll High School all the way down past Carolina Springs Middle School. The state 4 laned the road and then bottled neck 45mph+ crazy people trying to race to get in front of everyone at a 35mph curve. Now they are going to install turning lanes with lights at Kyzer and Mclee; I have been told work will start the first part of March. Lights will be welcomed by everyone here but the speed has to be reduced; I feel without the speed dropped there will be more accidents here. I have been in contact with 1st Sergeant Levine with the highway patrol to have troopers patrolling from the high school all the way through this intersection to slow down speeders. Please use the information given to complain about work needed to be done and speeding in the area.

Awful intersection! That whole stretch of road is dangerous.

A traffic circle is not a good idea at all. Please remember that there will be a school full of teenagers flooding through this thing twice a day. Do you think teenagers can operate a traffic circle? Most adults on these roads have no idea what to do at a traffic circle. The worst part is, this is a two lane road. When a wreck happens (notice I didn't say if a wreck happens) there will be nowhere to go. Why would you want to add confusion to a road that already has 3 schools and an ever growing population? Put in a traffic light and be done with it. It will save lives.
