Yes, West Chester is a borough that has a university in it...WCU is a wonderful part of our community, but it does not define us and our residents will be here long after the students leave year after year. The college students should be able to have fun and enjoy their time here, but it doesn't have to be at our expense. I agree, if the music is loud and a disturbance to you posting something on here is not doing anyone any good. Speak with the tenants, the landlord...and if it comes to it, the cops. Everyone is so quick to place blame and complain but without actually attempting to SOLVE anything.
And for the college kid living in the 'college town'. You're not entitled to anything...and especially not to degrading our town just because you're living here for a few years.

RE: NOISE -THIS IS OF COURSE A PROBLEM WITH THE WC BOROUGH POLICE AND THE LANDLORD. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL THINGS STOLEN FROM OUR PORCH.
I AGREE - THERE IS AN AWFUL LOT OF NOISE THROUGH MECHANIX ALLEY AND CARS ZOOMING UP AND DOWN WITH NO RESPECT FOR CROSS TRAFFIC AT THE THROUGH STREETS SUCH AS LACY ST. WE HAVE HAD 4 ACCIDENTS THERE AND PORCHES KNOCKED OFF. ALSO THE TRASH COMING DOWN MECHANIX ALLEY FROM IN BACK OF THE WALNUT STREET RESIDENCES.
THEY GET OUT OF JAKES BAR AND COME UP THE ALLEY AND THROW TRASH CANS ALL OVER THE ALLEY AND THE TAX PAYING RESIDENTS HAVE TO CLEAN UP. THIS HAS GOTTEN WORSE IN THE LAST 3 YEARS. THEY ARE GETTING OUT OF HAND. THE LANDLORDS NEED TO SHOW UP
AND FIX THE SITUATION. WE NEED TO KNOW WHO THESE LANDLORDS ARE.
