Description
The corner of Main and Partition is dangerous for pedestrians. It is difficult to see traffic coming from all directions at once, and it is also difficult for drivers to see pedestrians crossing the street until after making a turn. I know of at least one pedestrian who was struck by a car at this intersection and died, yet the only new walk signals in the village are at the corner of Main Street and Washington Ave. The property taxes in Saugerties are so ridiculously high that I can't imagine there isn't money in the budget for a simple walk signal to protect the residents and tourists from traffic accidents.
