Resubmit from 2013. Problem persists as described. WPD under-patrols this intersection.
Cars and often larger, slower vehicles, hotel vans, even Semis, School Buses and other vehicles with trailers, at the bottom of Day Hill Road turn right with little regard for oncoming southbound Poquonock traffic. In particular, there are unsafe right turns on red in front of oncoming southbound cars 1) without a safe distance and 2) cars turn right but head two or three lanes left to enter I-91 northbound without evaluating the safety of immediately crossing multiple lanes in front of multiple lines of oncoming cars 3) as Poq So light turns green and traffic moves, turners shoot out. Suggest WPD patrol and ticketing. Suggest ordinance and sign on Day Hill: No Crossing to I-91 North from Right Lane".
