Description

Dear City Officials:

There are some problems with the operation of this website, and with how the city officials are dealing with the issue reports recently. It is very good that the city officials are responding quickly to the issues, and also have gone recently through the backlog of old issues in the attempt to close them.

However, there are also problems with the new MO:
1. The issues are CLOSED and ARCHIVED even before they are resolved.
Here is an example:
http://seeclickfix.com/issues/1561303

2. (at least in my case), - I no longer receive any e-mail notifications when the issues received comments, get answered or change status.
(Those are enabled in my account preferences, and I used to receive them previously.)

3. (at least in my case) The issues reported sometimes do not show up right away - neither on the "front page" for CS, nor in my profile, "my content", and seemingly disappear. It was only today that I saw a very brief notice that it will show up after approval by a moderator.
E.g. with the issue referenced above, first I couldn't find it (it was probably going through the "moderation"), and then it got closed and archived, I couldn't find it, and thought it was lost.
So, I posted this issue:
http://seeclickfix.com/issues/1589631
It also got closed and ARCHIVED within an hour after being posted.

All this prevents people from being able to add to the issue or to find those issues that are still unresolved.

Note, that the second report above has ADDITIONAL information, compared to the first one, namely the dust clouds issue, which would not be resolved by the solution reported by the city officials.

In summary,
1. Please, stop closing and archiving issues immediately, especially before the issue is resolved.

Otherwise, it appears as if you are trying to close all the issues just to report on how many issues have been closed. And I hope that is not the intent.

2. When you close it, please do not ARCHIVE it right away. If something was not resolved properly or completely, people can re-open the issue and/or followup on the issue (and sometimes just with a praise and confirmation that the work was done well).

3. Please have the support team fixing the e-mail notifications.
I reported that to the website tech-support, -- and received an e-mail confirmation for that, - but I don't know if they would work on it. In the past sometimes they did, and sometimes they didn't.

Thank you!
