I am the owner of both the dogs and the residence at this address. Yes, I know that one of my dogs is a barker.

The dogs DO NOT bark / howl all day as they are inside a lot of the time.

Having said that;
It's a dog "protecting" her yard. The Oak Street Channel behind our house is a walkway for the High School traffic. Kids climb the fence to take the shortcut. Locked gates and signs does not top them because there is no enforcement.

Kids start walking past around 7 and continue until 7:45 or so. Then repeat in the afternoon around 3 to about 3:30. The dogs bark because of the traffic but kids being kids I'm sure they tease not only my dogs but others next to us which causes more barking all the way down the channel.

We try to bring the dogs in around 7am and 3pm.

Are you the owner of the dogs that bark/howl consistently around 5:30 am?

We do put our dogs our dogs out around that time, so it's possible. Since the complaint from "John Doe" we've been pretty diligent with bringing them in when they bark / howl so if it's been bad since 4/8 - 9 or so then it could be other dogs.

I'll make sure over the next week and make sure quite or bring in my dogs. If the howling persists let me know. My number is in th post above.

Thanks for the info. I'm not the original poster but wanted to comment as well.

These dogs howl every morning (Mon-Fri) at 5:30am. I live across the wash area and its really loud so I think you'd definitely know if they were your dogs. I'm normally up at that time so it doesn't bother me anymore but I've heard other complaints...

I'm a dog lover and definitely don't want to blame the wrong person. The howling only usually lasts about 10 minutes...those dogs sure have some pipes!

I didn't think you were JD, but thanks for the info, I'll work on it on my end. It's one of the things you tune out when going about your morning. I'm gone early so I don't get to hear it.

But like I said we've been working on quieting or bringing them inside. Long process....
