Thanks for reporting this. The Burlington DPW can fix this extremely dangerous section of Bike/Pedestrian infrastructure. Cars and truck literally are grinding down the curb so that rebar is exposed. This makes a dangerous and cracked corner of sidewalk even more narrow and precarious. Thanks for giving this prompt attention.

Is there a timeline for the sidewalk which is increasingly dangerous--the cone has since vanished, and the hole has grown? Thanks!

Is it true that this still hasn't been fixed? I saw the cone and then the next day it was gone. This is extremely dangerous and Public Works knows about it. I'd be surprised if they let a hazard like this get worse. Could someone keep us updated about this?

We have put a metal plate over the hole until Fairpoint can get there to repair it. I have called them and been assigned Ticket #OP3432553.

Thanks for dealing with that. Have the large cracks in the sidewalk been patched? That corner is extremely dangerous since it squeezes bikers and pedestrians around a tight corner right next to fast traffic. The sight lines are bad already. With the addition of large cracks in the sidewalk and the trucks grinding away at the curb you have an extremely dangerous situation. Please let us know if this has at least been patched.

When the weather is warmer ( Air Temp must be above 40 degrees for 3 days ) to repair curb and sidewalk.

The holes have been temporarily repaired with asphalt by Streets Division and a more permanent repair is being investigated - this issue is closed.
