Description

Traffic is backing up in the intersection Stephen Dr / The Queensway because the traffic lights directly east at the Mall entrance/Humber treatment plant entrance is not timed properly.

It was good for a long period of time because the lights by the mall entrance would turn green for all Queensway traffic about 5-10 seconds ahead of the lights turning green for southbound Stephen drive traffic, letting all the cars trapped between Stephen and the Mall entrance a chance to empty so that Southbound Stephen drive traffic could have space to occupy.

As it stands now, the light system is back to broken, with a red light at the mall entrance and cars backing up all the way to the Stephen/Queensway intersection, meaning the southbound Stephen traffic has nowhere to go, so they get @#$% and flood the intersection and create a tight bottleneck, preventing Westbound queensway traffic from proceeding on a green light until all eastbound traffic starts moving.

This intersection is back into my top rated annoyance section. Someone in urban planning and design PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE figure out a method around this madness and propose it to the city. This **** has got to stop before someone road rages to the next level.

Thanks.
