Description

Crosswalks across Ottawa at the corner of Ottawa and North Butler Blvd need better signage, a stop sign, and or blinking lights to slow down and stop for pedestrians. State workers heading to the Hall of Justice in the morning refuse to stop or slow for pedestrians making it a very dangerous situation for anyone on foot. This is considered assault when you are in the crosswalk. The stop for pedestrian signs are way too small. Additionally the same problem occurs in the afternoon/evening when other State of Michigan workers use Ottawa to head towards 496. They treat it like they are already on the expressway. I suggest in addition to better signage that law enforcement begins ticketing offenders.
