Thank you for using SeeClickFix. Public Works has looked at this concern and reviewed the results from the Police speed trailer.

This location does not meet the minimum criteria for an all way stop. Stop signs are not intended to be used for speed control. Placing them where they are not warranted often results in a higher rate of drivers who ignore them.

When evaluating speed results, the 85th percentile speed is used as the indicator for when there is a speeding problem. This is the speed at which 85% of the vehicles are traveling below. The police speed trailer measured the 85th percentile speed on Devonshire Road at 31 mph which is well below the threshold of 36 mph which would qualify the street for traffic calming measures.

Thank you for your reply. What speed control options are possible? The cars begin to slow down as they approach the Village Springs neighborhood which was close to where the speed camera was located.
