Description

Over the last couple years a growing problem has been people parking on the street outside our apartment building. All too often they partially block our driveway. This driveway leads out back of our building to a parking lot that all the residents use (this is building with 8 apartments in it). I have attached a pictures that shows a Maroon Mini Van that is clearly 1 1/2 to 2 feet into our driveway that has been there most the day. I think there should be a "NO PARKING" sign needed for that spot. Or at least a "Temp Parking" sign. Even if we can still get into our driveway often times people will need to circle back around the street so they can turn right instead of left. This is a waste of time when all residence need to do is turn left. Also larger trucks and SUV type vehicles have a harder time maneuvering around vehicles blocking our driveway. I've called the police but they didn't ticket the person blocking our driveway today. I believe there should be clear markings & a sign indicating that parking is prohibited on that curb. All too often there are a line of cars parked close to each other and someone will park on the end and try to squeeze in however the are often still jetting into our driveway. This is inconsiderate, inappropriate, blocks residents that actually live there, and is a potential hazard. 99% of the time these are people that don't even live in our building that are illegally parked there. This particular van was a maroon or light red Ford mini-van with the license plate 576 RY. I don't know who the driver is/was.
