After looking at Granger Road, it has been determined that the damage to the road was caused by a frost heave. As the temperatures warm and the frost dissipates, the road should settle on its own. We will however, keep an eye on it for any further damage.
This pothole at the curve of the road has been there since I moved in over a year ago. I do not believe that this is due to frost heave. It is approximately 7 feet by 3 feet oblong.
After review by the Assistant DPW Manager, it has been determined that repair work is warranted at the top of Granger where the pavement meets the private road. The work will be scheduled for later this spring after the bulk of the water has dissipated.
