Description
At the intersection of Crosby and North a visual obstruction exists, making it difficult to see. This makes turning left onto North from Crosby VERY dangerous, since one is starting from a standstill and traffic frequently passes at 30 mph or more, but the visual sightline is only 50-100 feet.
The visual obstruction is an earthen embankment. The addition of snow has reduced the sightline further, but the root cause is the embankment which would be difficult and expensive to remove.
Can a convex mirror be placed high on the utility pole opposite the intersection?

The earthen embankment is on private property and not within our Department’s jurisdiction.
The Department has reviewed the snow banks and will assign a crew for reduction.
The Town does not own the poles and must secure permission to place objects, such as a street lights and convex mirrors, on them. A request will take time.
