The new pedestrian button for that crosswalk is currently broken. We are waiting for parts to repair but in the meantime, it is necessary to call up the pedestrian phase every signal cycle in order for any pedestrians using that intersection to safely cross. We hope to resolve this soon as it inevitably causes extra delay.
