Description
There's a number of large potholes on Beacon St, primarily between Inman Square and Washington St, heading towards Porter Square. Many of these are towards the right hand side of the road where cyclists are expected to ride, but these potholes will eat a bicycle (and the rider!). I understand there may not be a lot we can do now, but something really needs to be done. Even though I know where most of these monsters are I still almost fall into them while riding up Beacon St.

Hmm, I didn't notice any potholes actually filled. Several are now outlined with white paint, which is a start, but white paint doesn't prevent someone from getting seriously hurt when their wheel falls into one of these monster potholes.
As an aside, I've noticed a trend of Somerville closing tickets before work has been done. Please stop doing this, the tickets should remain open until the work is actually completed, otherwise we have no way to track how long issues actually take to be resolved. This may be DPW's fault for giving you bad information, as I imagine you yourself are not personally out checking to see if potholes are filled.
