Description
Grant and alvernon to grant and Columbus huge potholes that endanger drivers bikes and buses. If you try to go around then you will hit other cars or bikes along with sun tran buses. These are over ten huge potholes between these streets. I don't think cold mix will fix. Needs saw cut huge area and fixed properly with plate tamp. You can't even use Pima as alternative being it's just as bad. This is a major street still not on list. I personally have called and reported multiple times

Grant from Santa Rita to Columbus is going to be completely repaved hopefully within the next few weeks...the City was waiting until SW Gas replaced some lines...lets hope it gets done soon!

It's about time!!!
GRANT ROAD REHAB TO BEGIN THIS MONTH - Beginning March 30, the Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) will begin resurfacing Grant Road between Columbus Boulevard and Santa Rita Avenue. The work is expected to be completed by April 20. While Grant is scheduled to be completely rebuilt as part of the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) plan, that work is still four to seven years away. Concerned that the road is rapidly deteriorating, the City is acting quickly to make needed repairs. TDOT's contractor will use a "hot-in-place" method for resurfacing the road, which minimizes lane closures and saves on costs. The process includes a 100-foot-long train of equipment that removes existing asphalt, mixes it with new materials, and immediately lays the new roadway.
