Description

SeeClickFix please update your "local parking ban banner" The Feb 12 info is outdated and residents need to know about the Feb 14 ban in place.

Good afternoon, this is Mayor Toni Harp with an important message about emergency measures we’re taking in light of yet another snowstorm. I have announced a downtown and residential area parking ban, effective from 2 AM Sunday morning. This includes all posted snow routes, and 25’ from any intersection, fire hydrant or bus stop. The downtown ban will end tomorrow at 2 PM and the residential, posted snow routes, intersections, fire hydrant, and bus stop ban will end Monday morning at 6 AM. Free alternative parking is available in New Haven Public Schools parking lots, city park parking lots, the Granite Square parking garage, and in the Temple Street parking garage for a $3 fee. Residents are also reminded that residential parking remains permissible on the even-numbered side of city streets. New Haven residents can direct all storm related inquires to the city’s Emergency Operations Center at 203-946-8221. We will continue to work together to minimize the inconvenience and disruptive potential of this storm, and maximize public safety. Further information is available on the City website at www.cityofnewhaven.com or by calling the City snow line at 203-946-7669 Thank you very much for your cooperation.
