Description

The Metro-Rail has been taking two to three light cycles to allow traffic to cross. This has been causing northbound traffic to go on green light at Fannin, only to be caught in the middle of the intersection for an additional cycle because Main street is still on RED, then backing up soutbound Fanning traffic.
At the point in which Main finally turns green, the pedestrian signal is now for pedestrians to cross at fannin (where cars are blocking), and they begin walking, while vehicles are trying to go on their green and to get out of their crosswalk and of the oncoming Fannin traffic. Pedestrians were crossing around vehicles trying to go, nearly being struck.

The lights need to be better coordinated with the metro-rail. And if the metro rail is delayed in boarding/de-boarding, it should surrender to cross-traffic flow. This happens on all downtown streets crossing metro.
